Elected to the Illinois Senate in 1996, Link said he is pleased with tonight's results.

"I feel good," said Link.

Regarding his opponent, Republican candidate Don Castella, Link said he has nothing against him.

"I don't run against anyone, I run for," said Link. "I have nothing against (Castella) for running against me. I have nothing bad to say about him."

Link said his focus is now shifting toward the other Lake County races that could be impacted by the 100,000-plus early votes that must still be factored in to tonight's totals.

"There's a lot of races that early voting could impact," said Link. "Tomorrow could be a real happy day for us."

Go Don! We're hoping that you win as Lake County needs a fresh and transparent approach that is of and for the people. You are that person as Terry never responded to any of my concerns when I was a Trustee of Buffalo Grove, bringing hard facts and truth that warranted his concern. Best of Luck as we all deserve a great Senator in Lake County. Sincerely, Lisa

I knew there was a reason I liked Link! He was smart enough not to consort with political hacks and whack jobs that could have ruined his political career. Too bad it took Mathias three years too long to figure that out. Now he'll have plenty of time to think about it, won't he?

And you know if Lisa Stone backs you, then you're going to lose simply because nobody wants to risk voting for someone aligned with her. Having her endorsement is the kiss of death. (see Sid Mathias)

Yep. The smoldering wreckage of Mathias' political career should be enough evidence of what happens when you associate with the wrong people. Especially people with failed political careers of their own.

Yawn. Total waste of time. No one cares about your worthless coalition, and your shameless self-promotion and hucksterism are really lame. Shouldn't your friends at Kurth Lampe be doing a better job helping you promote yourself? Or are you getting what you pay for with their services?
