Rudy's Mexican Grill in Grayslake garnered all but 72 of the 320 votes cast.
The vote is in for this week’s Chowdown Showdown Champion as voted on by Grayslake, Lake Forest-Lake Bluff and Libertyville Patch readers, who they think has the best Mexican food.
And the winner is —drumroll please — Rudy's Mexican Grill in Grayslake.

Rudy's garnered 248 votes over the other finalists - Tacos El Rey de Oro in Libertyville, which pulled in 34 votes and Casa Bonita in Libertyville, which had 23 votes. Overall, 320 votes were cast.
Since it happens to be Saturday and a date night for many, you can show this week’s winner some love by heading out for a delicious Mexican meal.
