The District 128 Community Education Fall catalogs have been mailed and registration is in progress. Visit the D128 Community Education website at www.ComEd128.org to check out our full selection of classes.
This semester we are offering 170 classes in the areas of Arts & Crafts, Computers & Technology, Cooking, Dance, Finance, Gardening, Health & Fitness, Languages, Music, Special Interest and Travel with many new subjects in each category. Register online or call (847) 932-2176. Some classes fill quickly so register early.
Our Community Education Program partners with several organizations to allow our program to offer an even larger selection of classes. We continue our partnership with Stevenson High School’s PREP Community Education Program, and we have expanded our partnerships to include the Lake County YMCA, Lake County Forest Preserve District, Cook Memorial Public Library District, D128 Foundation for Learning, District 214’s CET travel program, our local businesses and our area first responders. While we will continue our online partnership with Ed2Go, we have added another online provider. UGotClass provides online classes and certificate programs that are provided by colleges and associations with expert instructors.
Gold Card holders (offered free to District 128 Senior Citizens), receive a discount on many of the classes that we offer in our program. Please call our office at 847-932-2176 for specific details.
Our hope is that you will try a class. Taking a class is a great way to meet others and a fun way to learn something new.
