Santa said that it is all the little kiddies who inspire him to visit Libertyville each year. He really enjoys being out in the snow and cold but would not let the rain dampen his holiday cheer as Emma Stein sat on his knee.

Rain could not dampen the holiday spirit in downtown Libertyville as MainStreet Libertyville held its annual Dickens of a Holiday. Santa had to abandon his sleigh in the park due to rain, but Mike Main of Arden's Furniture opened his store to Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Petranek's Pharmacy hosted the Children's Holiday Shoppe and an authentic Victorian High Tea was served at the St. Lawrence Church. The Ansel B. Cook Home served as a warm and cozy retreat from the rain, showcasing Victorian holiday decorations. Santa is hoping for snow next weekend, when the event resumes on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Thanks for the mention of our chapter. We had a great time at the tea and will likely do it again!
