Dold Raises Over $600,000 for Campaign

Congressman has more than $1.6 million on hand.

Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) raised $602,407 for his reelection effort to his 10th Congressional District seat during the quarter ending March 30, according to a news release from his campaign.

Dold will face Deerfield management consultant Brad Schneider in the Nov. 6 general election. Schneider won the Democratic nomination with an eight-point victory over his nearest opponent in the March 20 primary.

Dold now has $1.64 in the bank and has raised $2.24 million since his election to Congress in 2010. Dold touts his ability to work with Democrats and demonstrate independence for his successful efforts.

“The residents of Illinois' 10th District want a Congressman who will tell them the truth and work in a constructive manner to put our country on a course towards fiscal health," Dold said in the release. "I have provided that independent leadership and worked in a bipartisan manner to get our country moving forward.”

Dold is running against Schneider in a reconfigured 10th District as a result of the new map passed last May by the Illinois General Assembly. Dold’s Kenilworth home is now located in the 9th District currently represented by Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Evanston)

With approximately 70 percent of the current district contained in the new boundaries, Dold anticipates getting to know his new constituents. “I look forward to growing our team in the new parts of Illinois' 10th District," he said.

This man continually votes against Medicare,EPA,social security, women's causes. Dropping Medicare for vouchers is sickening. Dold has voted against and dissolving the EPA many times. I like fresh air and clean water, so do my kids. As far as social security, Dold thinks Grandma can save money eating cat food and heating herself with a candle in the Winter. Women have a right to their body and birth control. So if Dold is a moderate the world has gone to hell. Dold has collected over $245,000 from the Tea Party since 2010. He is a failed and bad man. Thank God we have a new map so he can go back to killing ants and bedbugs.

Your ignorance is really shining through. Can you read these studies done independently and show me where he is a Tea Party republican? He is one of the most moderate members of Congress, read the articles and stop spreading lies.

Bob Dold is fighting hard everyday for the people of the 10th. I am a independent, I voted for Obama in 2008 and swing side to side. Bob Dold is one of the greatest reps in the country, I encourage everyone to read these independent articles that articulate Dold's commitment to Bipartisanship.

Thanks for the "heads up" Dan. All to often alot of these characters "get by" without much scrutiny. We all should pay more attention to what these people are doing & not just saying.

Dold has a proven Independent track record. The hateful rhetoric from Schneider and the extreme left-wing is sickening and is the cause of division in this country. Here are links proving that Dold is not extreme:

Bob Dold is an independent voice in congress and is consistently ranked as one of the most independent members of congress. Progressives, like Brad Schneider, need to stop falsely portraying Bob Dold as an extremist.

Dold's stance on Keystone is a prime example of an anti-environment, pro-party line position. Here's something some of you may not know about the Keystone Pipeline. It will deliver oil to a tax free port in Texas so they can refine it and export gasoline. That's right. All this fuss is about building an environmentally unsound pipeline so Texans can refine the oil and export it. Then, we export our young men and women to the Persian Gulf to protect the oil that we do consume. The truth is what the Republican's will wish to avoid the next few months as Dold build is war chest.

I don't need to read an article you offer, I go by the votes placed by Dold. You can lie and say what a great guy he is but his votes are public. You can spread his propaganda but Grandma will still be forced to heat her house with candles and eat cat food if Dold's policies become law. Facts are facts!
