Enrollment Up for CLC's Spring Semester

There is still time to enroll in the College of Lake County's spring semester.

The College of Lake County's spring semester kicked off this week with enrollment up 3.7 percent from last spring, reported President Jerry Weber at the Jan. 22 board of trustees meeting.

The headcount for students enrolled in college-level courses (those which lead to a degree or certificate) was 15,141, according to a press release.

Total enrollment, including adult education (ESL and GED) was 17,849.

While those numbers look pretty good, Weber cautioned that the official "census date" will actually be on the tenth day of classes because students are still adding and dropping courses. The final enrollment figures will be reported to the Illinois Community College Board.

"Our enrollment is in flux. Until then, we can’t say for sure where enrollment will end up," stated Weber in a press release.
