Feed My Starving Children's Libertyville meal-packing facility will be featured on WGN's morning news program between 7 and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, said Toni Antonetti, a spokeswoman for Feed My Starving Children. All of the volunteer slots have already been filled for the program, which will be part of Ana Belaval's "Around Town" segment.
Among the volunteers will be eighth-graders from Libertyville's St. Joseph School, according to an email from Patch reader Maggie Richter.
The Minnesota-based, Christian nonprofit opened an 18,000-square-foot meal-packing facility on Nov. 14. The Libertyville facility is expected to bring in more than 180,000 volunteers per year.
