Cook. Kids can learn how to make picnic foods during this snowy weekend at Someone’s in the Kitchen. The lesson is structured like a three-course picnic, start with basked cheesy bread braids. For the main dish, learn how to American deli wrap, and end with a fudge-stuffed cookie to hit the sweet spot. Peanuts will be used.

Renovate. Dozens of home remodeling experts are available to discuss ideas for turning your house into your dream home at the Home Building and Remodeling Expo. Another bonus? The expo will offer discounts on all products and services.

Adopt. Find a potential best friend at the pet adoption event at Petranek’s Pharmacy this weekend. Animal Education and Rescue is looking for homes for a wide variety of pets including ferrets, rabbits, dogs and cats.
