Get Out: Dickens of a Holiday, Fashion Benefit

It's Thursday and you have no idea what you're going to do this weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue.

Dickens of a Holiday Festival

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

  • Where/When: Libertyville High School, 708 W. Park Ave., 4-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 10-11).
  • Why Go?: Enjoy this classic holiday tale brought to life! Santa, elves, dancing toys, a mystical fog, and the reindeer use well known Christmas songs to tell the story of Rudolph. The one-hour performance is perfect for families and young audiences. Everyone is welcome to stay and take pictures with the dancers for no extra charge.
  • Pricing: $15 per person

Compass to Care Benefit Fashion Show

  • Where/When: Full DisClothesure, 330 N. Milwaukee Ave., 5-9 p.m. Friday (Dec. 9).
  • Why Go?: Full DisClothesure present a Holiday Fashion Show to benefit Compass to Care Childhood Cancer Foundation with personal stylist Pam De Vos. Raffles, hoes'dourves and wine. Twenty percent off everything in the store and 40 percent off evening wear. A portion of the event sales along with tickets sales will be donated to Compass to Care.   • Pricing: $25 per person

Libertyville Lions Breakfast with Santa

  • Where/When: Libertyville High School, 708 W. Park Ave. Ave., 7:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 11).
  • Why Go?: All you can eat breakfast with a variety of items.  Children under age 6 eat free with a paid adult.   Santa will be there and taking requests. Photos will be made onsite for a nominal fee (as well as sending it to your home email address for free.) Proceeds benefit the community by providing eyeglasses and hearing aids for the needy and many more humanitarian causes.  
  • Pricing: $6 per person

ImprovPlayhouse Comedy Troupe "Lost Not Stolen" Show

  • Where/When: Improv Playhouse, 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., 7:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 10).
  • Why Go?: This is a family friendly sketch and games based show in the style of "Whose Line..." and Chicago Improv featuring the hilarious Improv Comedy Troupe "Lost Not Stolen".
  • Pricing: $7 per person

Adler Center – Faculty Holiday Concert

  • Where/When: David Adler Music & Arts Center, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., 7 p.m. Friday (Dec. 9).
  • Why Go?: Proceeds benefit the Adler Center’s Scholarship Program. Tickets available in advance or at the door. For more information, call (847) 367-0707 or visit www.adlercenter.org.
  • Pricing: $15 per person, $10 for Adler members
