Learn About Energy-Saving Program at Informational Session Feb. 6
The Village of Libertyville will host the meeting, where residents can learn about a federal grant for home energy efficiency improvements.
Interested in learning about how you might be able to save up to $1,750 on home energy improvements?
The Village of Libertyville will host an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church St., so residents can learn about a United States Department of Energy grant program that can help save residents 70 percent on home energy efficiency improvements.
Mayor Terry Weppler announced the initiative at the village board's Jan. 8 meeting. Weppler said he and Assistant Administrator Kelly Amidei were working on another cost-saving issue for residents. Through the grant program, he said, residents can get a free home energy assessment that will result in participants getting suggestions on energy-saving improvements they could make. Residents can then qualify for the Department of Energy grant.
