Letter From the Editor: Loving Libertyville

Local Editor Chi-an Chang moving to Wilmette-Kenilworth Patch.

Throughout my time in Libertyville, the thing I hear again and again is, “I love Libertyville because the community is great”—I agree.

Libertyville is such a cute town filled with wonderful people that I’ll miss when I move to be the Local Editor of Wilmette-Kenilworth Patch on April 16.

Thank you readers for helping me grow and improve Libertyville Patch. I really enjoyed your suggestions for the site and always feel privileged when people share their stories with me.

Libertyville Patch will be in good hands with the new local editor. It will continue to share all things Libertyville so if you have an event, announcement, or story idea, please still share!

Good luck Chi-An! Thanks for all the news you've shared with us! Yours was the first name I saw when I got the Patch in my mailbox for the first time. I've never met you, but I sure feel like we know each other! Enjoy your new job and come back to Libertyville sometimes!

District 70 is sad to see you go, Chi-an, but we know that Wilmette/Kenilworth schools will enjoy your natural curiosity, ease with people of all walks, professionalism, and charm, as well as you great news judgment and keen editing and writing skills. Enjoy the North Shore!

Thank you, Robin, for the kind words! I really enjoyed meeting the students and teachers at District 70. I'll especially miss the children's creativity. After doing the video of students rapping for charity, all I could hear that night was, "F,f,f,f face pins. F,f,f,f face pins!"

I feel proud to have been part of your beginning at patch libertyville.... Remember how cold it was when you held your "party" at my store?!!! Patch is certainly lucky to have such a talented journalist as you are Chi-an. Best of luck to you.
