Mickey Finn’s Brewery’s “The Best Three Days You’ll Never Remember” St. Patrick’s event March 15-17 not only is the largest such extravaganza in Lake County in support of a worthy cause but a final, unforgettable celebration of the renowned microbrewery’s move to a bigger Libertyville location a block south after nearly 100 years in the same location.
“After serving generations of Lake County residents so many years; spending the last 19 as a microbrewery making, serving, and bottling more of our own beer than anyone else in the area; and hosting special events that our generous customers have supported and helped raise over $300,000 for those in need, we are poised and ready to rock this place one last time,” said Brian Grano, owner.
The annual Irish-studded extravaganza at Mickey Finn’s Brewery, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, www.mickeyfinnsbrewery.com, (847) 362-6688, begins Friday, March 15, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., with a free Irish breakfast as well as live remote broadcast by 95 WIIL ROCK (95.1 FM).
A special fund raiser beginning at 5 p.m., will benefit Misericordia, which supports 550 children, including Grano’s younger brother, Scott, and other adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities from all racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Tickets are $40, and sold in advance—space is limited, includes dinner starting at 5 p.m. Silent auction, lottery tree, and live music by Finbar Finnegan and Betty Soul.

Amber Ale is sold in area grocery and liquor stores as well as area restaurants.
