At the recent Libertyville tree lighting ceremony, MainStreet Libertyville, a nonprofit that promotes revitalizing downtown Libertyville, announced the winners of the downtown holiday window display contest.

The winner in the retail business category was Singalila Gallery and for service business, Wisma

Honorable mention went to Eclectic Design and Leggy Bird Designs for retail business and Casa Bonita Restaurant and Christine Anne Couture for service business.

“Each year the decision gets tougher and tougher for the Design committee members,” said Al Scott, chairman of MainStreet Libertyville’s Design Committee.  “The competition is spirited and the window displays are very creative.

New this year is the MainStreet window at 605 N. Milwaukee Avenue, with collaborative efforts from its Promotions, Design and Economic Restructuring committees. Everyone works to make our picturesque downtown festive for the holiday season.”
