Police Blotter: Candy Bars Stolen; Burglary Arrests
The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Nov. 30 through Dec. 9.
These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.
Two boys, ages 13 and 14, were charged with battery Dec. 5 at Hawthorn Middle School, 201 W. Hawthorn Pkwy. Police said they were involved in a physical altercation after school. They were both released on a notice to appear in court on Jan. 10.
Three individuals were charged with burglary Dec. 9 at Macy's, 1 Hawthorn Center. Police said they left the store without paying for $2,631 worth of merchandise. Arrested were:
- Breanna J. Williams, 22, of 1209 Silverstone Drive, Carpentersville, who was also cited for retail theft and resisting.
- Shara C. Allen, 33, of 17 Oxford Drive No. 14, Carpentersville. She was also cited for two counts of retail theft, possession of a theft detection device and resisting.
- Aireol Holman, 24, of 2134 Aberdeen Drive, Carpentersville. She was also cited for two counts of retail theft and possession of a theft detection device.
All three were held for a bond hearing.
Possession of Stolen Property
Two 16-year-old boys were charged with possession of stolen property Nov. 30 at Vernon Hills High School, 145 S. Lakeview Pkwy. Police said they were found in possession of items that were taken from the school's lost and found box. Both boys were released to their parents.
Two 19-year-olds were charged with retail theft Dec. 6 at Carson Pirie Scott, 3 Hawthorn Center. Police said they left the store without paying for two candy bars. Arrested were: Marcus E. Bradford of 301 Cypress Lane, Libertyville, and Victor F. Tuccy III of 4999 Adele Drive, Gurnee. They were released on a notice to appear in court on Jan. 10.
Carlos M. Sisalima, 22, of 933 Adams Court, Vernon Hills, was charged with retail theft Dec. 8 at JC Penney, 4 Hawthorn Center. Police said he left the store without paying for $241 worth of clothing. He was released on a notice to appear in court Jan. 10.
Matthew M. Burchard, 20, of 2116 Oakleaf Lane, Lake Villa, was charged with theft Dec. 5 at Glacier Ice Arena, 670 N. Lakeview Pkwy. Police said he took money out of another team's locker room. He was released on $150 cash bond pending a Dec. 20 court date.
