These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Two 17-year-old girls were charged with retail theft Sept. 9 at Kohl's, 235 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said they left the store without paying for almost $300 worth of clothing and a $130 pair of shoes. They were released on a notice to appear in court Oct. 11.
