Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Alcohol, Drug Arrests
The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from July 10-14.

Two girls, ages 14 and 17, were charged with retail theft July 10 at Sears, 2 Hawthorn Center. Police said they allegedly left the store without paying for $58 and $175 worth of clothing, respectively. They were released on a notice to appear in court Aug. 9.
Matthew J. Sazdanoff, 19, of 1864 Bowling Green Drive, Lake Forest, was charged with retail theft July 13 at Macy's, 1 Hawthorn Center. Police said he allegedly left the store without paying for a $20 jacket. He was released on $120 cash bond pending an Aug. 9 court date.
Ross J. Projansky, 21, of 180 Old Creek Road, Vernon Hills, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance July 14 on the 200 block of South Old Creek Road. He was also cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol content over .08, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was remanded on $25,000 bond pending a July 30 court date.
Christopher D. Fendick, 38, of 1849 Augusta, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 14 near Routes 21 and 60. He was also cited for driving while license suspended, improper lane usage, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, improper turn at intersection, no seat belt, resisting, disorderly conduct, disobeying a police officer and failure to signal when required. He was released on $75,000 bond pending a July 20 court date.
