Police Blotter: Theft, DUI

ALCOHOL
Simon C. Shorter, 51, of 1112 Buena Road, Lake Forest, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and driving with a blood alcohol content above .08 on Feb. 9 at St. Mary’s and Townline roads. He posted his driver’s license and a $1,000 recognizance bond. His court date is Feb. 27 in Waukegan.
THEFT
A 15-year-old boy was charged with retail theft on Feb. 5 after he left Macy’s in Hawthorn without paying for $316 in clothing. He was referred to juvenile court.
