My Latest 5 Nutrition Goals

Here is an article my colleague Becky wrote.  Becky is a Nutritionist and Personal trainer for MissFIT Complete.  Most of the recipes she includes in her daily menu come from the MissFIT Meals and Morsels Cookbook.  You can click on the title to learn more about the cookbook.

I care about nutrition.  A lot.  I blog about food.  Duh.  I cook nearly
every meal using whole foods.  I read about food.  I research about nutrition.
I meal plan, shop and try new recipes.  I am pretty much the food manager for my family.  I have a high level nutrition certification and nutrition is something
that is almost constantly on my mind.

I eat pretty clean, as I should, or I’d be a huge hypocrite, right?  But, I
am far from perfect and I’m okay with that.  I like to live and eat in a way
that fuels a healthy body as well as gives peace about my choices.  I strive to
create an encouraging, stress-reducing atmosphere for myself as well as those I
coach on nutrition.  Food is fuel, yes.  Food is also for enjoyment.

This means I can have my whole wheat dark chocolate cake and eat it too.

There is always room for improvement, though.

To keep myself in check and be sure I live consistently with what I preach as
well as what I practice, I like to have goals I am constantly working on.  I’ve
previously let you all know what I eat as a personal trainer.  Here are 5 nutrition practices I’m working to
incorporate as of late.  Read more...
