DESCRIPTION:Last winter the Cook Memorial Public Library District launche
 d a community-wide request for recipe submissions for&nbsp\;their upcomi
 ng cookbook A Library of Recipes: Cook Park and Aspen Drive Cooking Toge
 ther. The community response was so overwhelming\, that by April over 30
 0 recipes had been collected! After many months of collecting recipes\, 
 the library is pleased to announce that the cookbook is now for sale and
  will be debuted at a kick-off event on Tuesday\, November 13 at 7 p.m. 
 at the Libertyville Civic Center\, 135 W. Church Street.\nChef Michael M
 addox\, formerly of Le Titi de Paris\, will amaze you with his culinary 
 skills as he demonstrates how to make dazzling holiday canapes and Chef 
 Jean-Marc Loustaunau from Cafe Pyrenees will demonstrate his silky smoot
 h Creme Brulee recipe\, which can be found in the cookbook. In addition 
 to chef demos\, participants will also have the opportunity to sample de
 licious recipes from the cookbook and enter a drawing for great prizes.

 rd-cover cookbook serves up 370 downhome recipes from local residents\, 
 businesses and restaurants in 8 different delectable sections. Overflowi
 ng with a scrumptious mix of soups\, salads\, appetizers\, side dishes\,
  entrees and desserts\, A Library of Recipes captures the distinct local
  flavors of our wonderfully diverse community. The sturdy 3-ring design\
 , one-of-a-kind recipes\, and helpful hints blend to create the perfect 
 sampling of all that our library residents have to offer. Each recipe fe
 atures the name of the person and/or business who submitted it and the c
 ommunity in which they live witin the District. That\, along with an ind
 ex of contributors\, will make it easy for everyone to locate the favori
 te recipes of their friends and local residents.\nThe cookbooks will be 
 sold by the library throughout the holiday season at the Cook Park locat
 ion\, the Aspen Drive location\, and on the Bookmobile. It will also be 
 sold at Someone's in the Kitchen and How Impressive in downtown Libertyv
 ille\; AND for one night only at Cafe Pyrenees on November 14 from 5 to 
 8PM at an Evening With the Authors. The cookbook can be purchased and si
 gned by Chef Jean-Marc who contributed three recipes from his repertoire
  of local favorites at this special book signing. The cost of the book i
 s $15 at all locations. Proceeds from the sales will help to enhance lib
 rary services and provide more children's programs\, computer classes\, 
 author visits\, enhancements to the Digital Library\, additions to the l
