Enjoy a variety of free, outdoor musical performances every Tuesday night this summer from June 21 to August 9 at Independence Grove. The concert series is presented by Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital. Visit the website for a full concert schedule.
On Tuesday, August 2, The Rhythm Rockets will perform jazz, jump and R & B from the '40s and '50s.
On Tuesday, August 9, The Rockin' Fenderskirts will play Rock 'n Roll hits from the '50s and '60s by Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry and more.
Please bring a blanket or lawn chairs and arrive early to park and get a spot. The walk-up cafe will be open during the concerts.
The concert is free. Parking is $5 per car after 5 p.m. When the parking lot is full, no more cars will be admitted. Call 847-968-3499 to find out if the park is full or if the concert has been postponed due to weather.

More About Independence Grove
Independence Grove is an outdoor recreation area situated on a 115-acre lake. The park features prairie and woodland habitats where people can bike, hike and picnic; bikes are available to rent. Canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and fishing boats can also be rented to use on the lake and on the swimming beach, which has bathrooms, showers and locker rooms. A number of trails, a children's playground, an outdoor pavilion and amphitheater, a visitor's center (which can be rented for special events) and a summer café are all part of the property. Parking is free for Lake County residents.
