Warning: This Video Might Make You Cry

If you're looking for a new pet, local animal organizations want you to consider adopting or fostering animals who have been abandoned, were given up by previous owners, are in danger of being euthanized, or are a little older.

The attached video is from Young at Heart Pet Rescue, a Palatine-based organization that focuses on finding homes for older pets. Young at Heart rescued the featured dog, Smokey, from an animal control facility on the day she was scheduled to be euthanized.
