Will Rain Wash Out Halloween?

There's a 100 percent chance of precipitation on Halloween, according to the National Weather Service.

Beware, parents and trick-or-treaters! There's a storm brewing for Halloween.

The National Weather Service in Chicago is predicting a 100 percent chance of showers during the day on Halloween, with a 60 percent chance of showers Thursday evening.

The storm is expected to move in Wednesday night, when the forecast calls for a 100 percent chance of precipitation after 7 p.m.

Accuweather.com is calling the storm—which will stretch from the upper midwest all the way to Louisiana—a "Halloween Soaker."

It's also supposed to be windy Wednesday night through Thursday, with wind gusts as high as 25 miles per hour both days.

Be sure to monitor this spooky weather situation on the National Weather Service site.
