Oil Painting - "Paint Like Monet"

Have you always admired the French Impressiontists - particularly Monet - and wanted to paint like him?  In this class, beginning and intermediate painters who range in age from teens to retired are welcome to create their own Monet paintings.  In this 8-week session you will go on a journey through Monet's life, tools, painting techniques and colors.  You will copy four small Monet landscape paintings (including a water scene) that you can frame for your home or give as gifts.  The instructor will give a painting demonstration during each class and assist each student individually.  Supplies are included.

Drawing:

Beginning to advanced artists will improve their drawing.  In addition to drawing people, you will draw objects, interiors and landscapes.  In this class, you will use pencil, charcoal, conte crayon and pastel on white and toned paper.  You will also learn by practicing the techniques of master artists such as Degas, Seurat and Boucher.  The instructor will give a drawing demonstration during each class and assist each student individually.  Supply list will be provided on the first day of class.
