What You Should Know About Adult Day Care

November is National Caregivers Month and a time to recognize the millions of Americans caring for a loved one.

According to AARP, 29 percent of the U.S. population provides care for a chronically ill, disabled or elderly family member or friend during any given year. However, when it becomes too stressful to juggle caregiving with other responsibilities, an adult day care center may be helpful.

In addition to providing care and companionship for seniors who need assistance during the day, adult day care provides caregivers the opportunity to go to work, run errands or take a much-needed respite. This often leads to reduced stress and more positive experiences, according to research.
