12nd Annual Golf Outing tees off against Domestic Violence

ZION, IL (May 22, 2014)        

Golfers of all abilities are invited to join A Safe Place for a round of golf to support at the 12th Annual Golf Outing at The Grove in Long Grove, IL on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Check-in and lunch start at 11 AM.

“The outing features lunch, golf and dinner at on one of Lake County’s premiere courses to support the leading advocate for eliminating domestic violence in northern Illinois. We are proud to have so many people from the community take a stand against domestic abuse and show their support at this event,” stated Bob Boyle, co-Chair of the Golf Outing and past president of A Safe Place’s Board of Directors. “This event brings much-needed attention to this often-hidden crime and the victims who suffer in silence. A Safe Place gives victims of domestic violence hope for a safer future.”

As the leading advocate for eliminating domestic violence in northern Illinois, A Safe Place provides emergency shelter, affordable housing, advocacy, and individual and group supportive services to survivors of domestic violence and their children; and intervention services for abusers to learn accountability for their choices and actions.
