An Agent/Casting Director acting showcase will be held at Improv Playhouse- Libertyville and Highland Park by the top Los Angeles based coach to children and adults, Diane Christiansen from July 29-August 2 for youth through adult students. Christiansen began coaching actors in 1992. Among her most recent students is Hailee Steinfeld, (Enders Game) who rose to fame for her portrayal of Mattie Ross in the 2010 film True Grit, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Many Midwest students seek out Ms. Christiansen for career and personal coaching. This year, CHILDREN IN FILM lists her as the “#1 Top Rated Acting Coach in Hollywood” for kids and teens. She was also named “One of the Top 3 Acting Coaches in Hollywood” by the YOUNG PRESIDENTS ORGANIZATION in NYC. The last four years, Diane was voted “One of the Top 10 most effective Coaches in Hollywood” by Actors Access. Monday Grades 3rd through 8th grade. Tuesday High School through Adult students. Wednesday and Thursday combined ages focusing on rehearsal, image prep, agent presentation and audition skills. Tuition is $250. Friday closed showcase to agency representatives. Actors headshots, 8x10 or other imaging suggested for pre-submission. The intensive will be held at the Improv Playhouse Black Box Theatre, 735 N. Milwaukee Avenue, near METRA. Fee includes the combined workshop and showcase for registered students.
