Animal Education & Rescue is a foster-based, full-service humane society located in Libertyville, IL.
Our mission is to bring people and pets together. AEAR is a unique because in addition to finding
homes for rescued animals, we put a lot of effort into our community programs. And we fill a
desperately needed niche in Lake County not only with our programs, but also because we rescue
many types of animals; dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets, guinea pigs, birds, hamsters and more.
You can learn more about us on our website, www.aear.org, contacting us directly or by “Liking” us on
Facebook. Our Facebook page is a great way to get to know us because it chronicles our daily
activities. Animal Education & Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to AEAR are taxdeductible
to the extent permitted by law. We are funded by private donations and grants from private
foundations. We are only able to keep our valuable programs going because of the generosity of the
community we serve.
