Culver's of Libertyville holds 'Day of Giving' for Feed My Starving Children

As part of its continued support for neighboring Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), Culver’s of Libertyville, 803 E. Park Ave., will hold a ‘Day of Giving’ Saturday, Nov. 23. The non-profit organization, which sends nourishing meals to countries around the world, will receive 10 percent of the day’s total sales.

FMSC’s Libertyville location celebrates its one-year anniversary this month and since its opening has received help from 50,000 volunteers to package and send more than 10 million meals to help feed the world’s hungry.

The volunteer-based program welcomes children and adults several times a week to hand-pack these meals formulated specifically for malnourished children.

To help FMSC maintain its goal of distributing one million meals per month, Culver’s will raise awareness for the organization during the month of November. In addition to their 10 percent give-back, donation boxes and more information on volunteer opportunities will be available at the store.

“This is our opportunity to give back to an organization that does selfless work each and every day,” says Culver’s of Libertyville owner Chris Searles. “It’s a great feeling to know that the Culver’s guests we feed will, in turn, help feed others through this day of giving.”
