Executive Director of Reading Power Speaks at Alpha Nu Meeting

Rebecca Mullen, Executive Director at Reading Power, Inc., presented an informative program at the first 2013-14 meeting of the Alpha Nu chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma on Tuesday, September 10. Reading Power has been in existence for 10 years.  Rebecca shared the program's scope and successes and the joys of working with the children in North Chicago Schools.  Last May, Alpha Nu presented a check to Reading Power, funded by Lambda State Foundation for Educational Studies, to purchase materials for Reading Power's tutoring program and to provide books for the classroom.  Rebecca told Alpha Nu members how they can become volunteers for this fabulous not-for-profit organization. Alpha Nu members will collect both new and gently used books throughout the year to donate to Reading Power, Inc.
