Libertyville High School Varsity Dance Team Finishes 6th at IHSA State Finals
Congratulations to the LHS Varsity Dance Team for a season best - 6th in the IHSA State Competitive Dance Competition Finals (2A Division), Saturday, February 1, in Bloomington, Illinois.
This is the second year competitive dance has been included as an Illinois High School Association sport, which has meant a new set of rules and a new judging rubric for all competing teams.
The team finished 6th at sectionals, held last month at Glenbrook South High School, advancing to the second IHSA Competitive Dance state competition. A total of 74 teams in the 2A division competed at sectional competitions held throughout the state, with 30 advancing to state prelims.

LHS finished 4th at Friday night's state prelims, advancing to Saturday's finals. Five of the six teams from Libertyville's sectional competition advanced to the state finals.
