Short Term Overseas Mission Trip Opportunities in 2014
Join members of The Chapel, a local Christian church, on one of several short-term mission trips in 2014. These trips are open to interested members of the public. Be warned: you cannot walk away from any of these experiences unmoved. The impact of these trips will likely change you and your perspective on life.
Bihar, India (Feb. 25 to March 7, 2014): Serve alongside the Transformation India Movement (TIM) team. Join the team as we dedicate clean water wells, engage in literacy training, hang out with orphan children, teach or encourage our Christian brothers and sisters in churches, and visit villages, slums, and areas were TIM is working to advance the gospel. Deadline for application: December 22.
Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa (Feb. 27 to March 10, 2014): This group will work with ELWA Ministries Association USA. ELWA operates a 50-bed hospital, a 400-student K-9 Christian elementary school, a youth camp, and a Christian radio station. One of the projects our group will work on is improvements to the buildings that house the kids at the Susie Guenter Orphanage. Deadline for application: December 22.

Haiti (Spring/Summer 2014): Work in Haiti with Jerusalem Baptist Mission in projects like evangelism, building projects, vacation Bible school for the children, and much more. This trip will open your eyes to one of the poorest areas in the western hemisphere, and enable you to build relationships and make an impact in an area that needs it. Deadline for application: Spring 2014.
Quito, Ecuador (Dec. 1 to 9, 2014): Our Chapel mission group will serve with our partner, Extreme Response, in the annual Christmas Outreach. Share the joy and story of Christmas, and provide gifts, food, and carnival games to Ecuador’s poorest. This could be a wonderful first mission experience for singles, couples, or families (kids age 12 and up). Deadline for application: September 30.

If you aren’t sure which trip you want to go on, we can tell you about each of the trips so you can decide which one works best for you. Trip participants will receive fundraising guidance, as we do not want cost to prevent anyone from going.
