Yingling Urges Constituents to Help Him Acknowledge ‘Good Neighbor’ Businesses

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is seeking community input to celebrate local businesses that strive to serve their communities with his Good Neighbor Business of the Year Award. With an understanding that our economy thrives on the success of local small businesses, Yingling is looking to recognize those businesses that go above and beyond to serve their customers and the community as a whole.

“Our community is a diverse collection of individuals offering unique strengths and skill sets,” Yingling said. “This award gives me an opportunity to congratulate the men and women of our local business community who help make our area a great place to live, work and raise a family.”

As there are many ways a business can be a good neighbor, Yingling is encouraging constituents to write a brief nomination, explaining how a particular business cares about the community and is a good neighbor. Nominations must also include the business name and address, a contact person at the business, and the name, address and phone number of the person submitting the nomination.

Nominations are due by Monday, Dec. 2, and can be emailed to repsamyingling@gmail.com, faxed to
847-231-6102 or delivered to Yingling’s full-time constituent service office at 20 W North Street in Hainesville. Winners will be selected by Yingling’s Economic Development Advisory Committee and will be acknowledged by a resolution introduced in the House of Representatives.

“I’m very excited to see what nominations come in and learn more about some of the great ways businesses are helping to move our communities forward,” Yingling said. “This district is full of very dedicated and caring individuals and this will be an excellent way to highlight the good work that takes place right here every day.”
