A Beagle Mix is Looking For a Loving Home

If you would like to adopt Katy, please contact Animal Education and Rescue.

Katy, a six-month-old beagle/cattle dog mix, was saved from a junkyard and taken in by Animal Education and Rescue (AEAR) and is being fostered by AEAR director Sandy Kamen Wisniewski.

"Katy was very shy and unsure when she first came to live with me," Wisniewski said. "She would belly-crawl towards me with her tail wagging, she so badly wanted love but was frightened."

Wisniewski said Katy has come a long way and now loves everyone she meets.

Katy's mom was a cattle dog and her father was a beagle mix. Katy weighs about 23 pounds. She is being crate trained and is good with other dogs and people of all ages, including children.

For more information on Katy or to fill out an online application go to www.aear.org.
