Banks Collecting Books for Bernie's Book Bank

Wintrust Community Banks will be accepting donations of new and used children's books at over 100 branch locations this summer, from now through Aug. 16, 2013.  Wintrust has set a goal to collect 100,000 children's books to be donated to Bernie's Book Bank, which works to increase book ownership by distributing new and used books to at-risk children throughout the Chicago area.

Wintrust Community Banks is proudly supporting Bernie's Book Bank's efforts to collect, process and redistribute quality new and used children's books in order to increase book ownership among infants, toddlers and school-age children.

"We are so excited about our new partnership with Wintrust, which will familiarize more members of the Chicago-area community with what we're working to accomplish," said Brian Floriani, Executive Director of Bernie's Book Bank.  "We recently distributed our millionth book, and in 2013, we will distribute another million books to more than 70,000 children.  With the help of our dedicated volunteers, donors and sponsors like Wintrust, we will accomplish our goal."
