Libertyville Days Photo Exhibition Seeks Entries

'Capture the Spirit' is the theme for the second annual Photographic Exhibition to be held during Libertyville Days. Entry information is available at www.libciviccenter.org/festival2012

The Brainerd Community Center, Libertyville Days Festival, and the Photo Flash Mob of Lake County are calling for entries for the second annual Photographic Exhibition to be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., June 17 during the 100th Anniversary Libertyville Days Festival in the Jackson Gym of the Brainerd Building.

The focus of this year's exhibition is ‘Capture the Spirit.’ Photographers are invited to submit images which strive to capture the essence of joy, humanity, nature, friendship and the times through their eyes and lens. 

Entry deadline for the juried show is June 2, 2012. There is a $15 fee for up to three entries. Images may be submitted by email or DVD/CD for acceptance. To view the categories for submission, download the prospectus and entry form at www.LibCivicCenter.org/Festival2012 or www.SaveBrainerd.org.

The Libertyville Days Festival is the annual fund-raising event for the Libertyville Civic Center and runs June 14 to June 17 in downtown Libertyville. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the festival.

The Brainerd Community Center Committee is working to repurpose the historic Brainerd Building into a community center where families can experience enrichment through the performing arts, sports, learning, social and civic gatherings.
