The first program features a discussion on Lake County's oldest church on Sept. 19.

The Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society will kick off its fall-programming schedule with a free event discussing Lake County's oldest organized church, Ivanhoe Congregational Church, on Sept. 19.

The historical society will feature several members of the Ivanhoe Congregational Church. Church historian Steve Schmitt and Jean Wilson will share the history of the Ivanhoe Congregation Church, which was founded in February 1938.

The event is open to the public and visiting church members and will share the process of documenting and preserving the history of their organization for future generations.
