MainStreet Libertyville Brings Oktoberfest Celebration to Town

MainStreet Libertyville brought Oktoberfest back to Libertyville with an oompah band and schnitzel. The community enjoyed the party, making this year's fundraiser a great success.

Fall means it time to dance in the streets in Libertyville thanks to MainStreet Libertyville's popular event.

This year, the dance celebrated Oktoberfest with Steve's Bavarian Oompah Band, German schnitzel and craft brewed beer. Family activities opened the evening with the chicken dance, patrons danced the polka during the dinner hours, while rock and roll ruled the house as the night progressed. The children's music was provided by Improv Playhouse and the Music Now DJ Group, Steve's Bavarian Oompah Band played authentic German music and Betty Soul brought the rock and roll.

Mainstreet businesses were well represented; Mickey Finn's cooked up the mouth-watering German food and the craft Oktoberfest beer, while Viva le Vine provided the wine. Dessert was donated by Lovin' Oven Cakery.
