United Methodist to Present 'Live Nativity'

The event will take place Dec. 16 in Cook Park.

The United Methodist Church of Libertyville is inviting everyone to experience the Christmas story through its first-ever Live Nativity, slated for 6 p.m. Dec. 16.

The performance, which will include children from United Methodist, will be held at Cook Park in Libertyville.

Joyce Bedell, a spokeswoman from the church, said the performance will include live animals, including goats, sheep and a cow.

According to information provided by the church, "Angels, shepherds, wise men, Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus will all be with us to tell the humble and glorious tale of the coming of the savior."

The 20-minute performance is being directed by Suzy Kibbler with help from DeeAnn Clausen, Blair Brockman and many others.

After the performance, guests are welcome to visit the church for a Christmas Celebration with cookies and hot chocolate.
