Get ready for more snow!
A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 9 p.m. Thursday until 6 p.m. Friday for all of northern Illinois, including the following counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will.
The National Weather Service in Chicago says the snow should develop by Thursday evening and continue into Friday, with snowfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches expected.
"A period of heavy snow with snowfall rates of 1 inch per hour is possible late Thursday evening into the overnight hours," according to the National Weather Service.
Also, weather forecasters don't get many chances to be in the spotlight. Cut them some slack; they need something to be excited about. My 10-year-old son is pretty excited that it's going to snow :)
