--------------------

Names: Trevor Evans and Johanna Nimmer.

Schools, grades: Trevor will be an eighth-grader at Highland Middle School. Johanna will be a freshman at Libertyville High School.

Characters: Monsieur Thénardier and Madame Thénardier.

What do you love about playing these characters?

  • Trevor: We were the couple last time. We're reliving it. (Monsieur Thénardier) is not the brightest one.
  • Johanna: I like being able to be a lot smarter than him.
  • Trevor: We're the comic relief. We're two of the characters that don't die.
Tell me about the challenges of putting together this production.
  • Trevor: Getting all of the songs done, because it's all singing.
  • Johanna: And the sets. How are we going to build a barricade?
What's your favorite song in the musical?
  • Trevor: "Master of the House." It's the most uplifting, comedic relief.
