Celebrating the Hometown Spirit during the 2012 Libertyville Days Festival

May 19, 2012 – Come out to celebrate the spirit of Libertyville during the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation’s
annual Libertyville Days Festival, Thursday, June 14th through Sunday June 17th. Family-friendly events include
a Carnival featuring rides and games, an outdoor art and craft s fair, and the spectacular Libertyville Days Parade.
Got the munchies? Meander through the Taste of Libertyville, featuring a large variety of local food and drink
vendors. Thirsty? Enjoy the expanded beer garden, spreading out of the Civic Center parking lot and stretching
down Church Street past the music main stage and food court.

Musical Entertainment
The musical entertainment lineup is outstanding this year! To mention just a few: Th e Personnel; Blonde On
Board, one of Chicago’s finest party bands; Supernaut, a rock & roll cover band; and Mellencougar, a John Mellencamp tribute band. Plenty of Opportunities to Participate
Get involved all weekend in the large number of interactive activities. Young ladies can participate in The Libertyville
Days Pageants; Miss, Junior Miss, and Little Miss categories. For the younger crowd, a Children’s Party will
provide free games, craft s, and entertainment in exchange for the donation of a non-perishable item to the Libertyville Township Food Pantry. Talented teen bands will perform on the Youth Stage Saturday night. Any singers?
Join in our Libertyville’s Got Talent Show on Friday night. Sweet-tooth? Come watch the Cookie Bake Off ,
sponsored by Lovin’ Oven Cakery, or join Kiwanis International for a watermelon eating contest on Sunday, all in Celebrating the Spirit of Libertyville! Also on Sunday, there will be a a Baggo tournament in the Beer Tent and a
Photo Exhibition celebrating the spirit of Libertyville, held at the Brainerd Community Center. Entry forms and

Family Entertainment
See the McNulty Irish Dancers perform their steps in Cook Park. Or come enjoy a magician entertain with wonderful
tricks, fabulous music and comedy for all ages. Th is year the Radio Disney road crew will be performing
live from the main stage following the children’s party. Interested in children’s theater? Come check out Junior
Encore Theater’s children’s performance. Th e fun doesn’t stop there! Enjoy hacky sack performances throughout
Cook Park, or cruise on over to admire the awesome new automobiles from Libertyville car dealers, located in
the parking lot of Th e Law Offi ces of Terry Weppler at 121 W. Church Street.

The Libertyville Days Festival is the yearly fund raising
event to support the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation (LCCF) The LCCF, along with the Village of Libertyville,
provides gathering space for the community at reasonable rates. It also provides gathering space for the
Libertyville Senior Center which off ers a variety of activities and programs for local senior citizens.
