Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society November Membership Meeting

At the upcoming November membership meeting, the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society will host a presentation by the Lake County Farm Heritage Foundation.

Lake County’s rich farm history is currently being documented and preserved by the Lake County Farm Heritage organization, with the hopes of eventually operating a working, educational history farm from the 1930’s/1940’s – the golden era of Lake County agriculture.  The farm would serve as an educational resource for area school children in kindergarten through 12th grades.

Paul Geiselhart, of the Lake County Farm Heritage Foundation will talk about the county’s long agricultural history, along with the farmers who worked the land.  He’ll also provide information on his organization’s work to preserve the history of Lake County’s farming community.
