Groove to Some Tunes at Independence Grove

Want to listen to some live music under the stars?

Independence Grove has resumed its Events in the Plaza outdoor concert series. The concerts are held at 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday through Aug. 6.
 
Here's a look at the concert line-up:

  • June 25: Paper Arrows (lyrics-driven Indie rock)
  • July 2: Henhouse Prowlers (bluegrass)
  • July 9: Rico (Santana-inspired)
  • July 16: Mr. Myers (Caribbean rock)
  • July 23: Great White Caps (surf revivalists)
  • July 30: Three Men in Kilts (Irish ballads and pub songs)
  • Aug. 6: Jack Grace Band (from country to Latin)
Admission is $5 per car after 5 p.m. for concertgoers and all other forest preserve visitors. Guests are encouraged to pack a picnic, though snacks and beverages can be purchased at the walk-up cafe at Independence Grove. Concertgoers should also bring lawn chairs and blankets.
