Name: Alex Hibbard-Brown

School, grade: Highland Middle School, 8th grade

Character: Baker's Wife

Tell me about "Into the Woods": It's a mash-up of different fairy tales. The baker and his wife can't have children, so they go into the woods to find ingredients to make a child. The first act is happy, but the second act is dark, with death and evil monsters.

What do you like about your character? I like her because she has all the funny lines, all these puns that make the show.

What's your favorite song in the production? "It Takes Two." It's just the baker and his wife coming together.

Why should people see "Into the Woods?" It's a laugh. It's funny. There are several jokes in there that three-fourths of humankind will get. And it's very touching.
