March is Fine Arts Month

Libertyville will celebrate local artists in the second annual event.

Mayor Terry Weppler recently proclaimed March as the Second Annual Fine Arts Month in Libertyville.

“All the kids in the sporting groups have their pictures up in businesses downtown, whether in fall or spring, we thought it was time to recognize all the kids that have talent in arts, in Libertyville. So last year in March, we declared it as Fine Arts Month. Well, we are doing it again this year,” Weppler said at last week’s board meeting.

Libertyville Wildcats Fine Arts Foundation will be organizing the month-long event, which celebrates residents’ fine arts contributions that enhance our human experience.
