Condell Names New Therapy Area in Honor of Volkswagen, VW Credit, Inc.

VW Credit has donated more than $40,000 to the medical center since 2004.

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, has named an area of its newest facility in honor of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VWGoA) and its financial subsidiary, VW Credit, Inc. (VCI). Since 2004, VCI has donated more than $40,000 to Advocate Condell’s Pediatric Alternatives in Creative Therapy (PACT) Program, which aids children who suffer from neurological ailments. In 2011, VCI and VWGoA pledged to donate an additional $50,000 over a five-year period to the PACT Program.

In recognition of that support, Advocate Condell recently named the section of its newest facility that houses the PACT Program the “Volkswagen Group of America Pediatric Alternatives in Creative Therapy” Area.  A dedication ceremony was held on April 20 for the new facility.

“The service PACT provides to children and families is vital to their healing and development,” said Robert Barto, Vice President of Development at Advocate Condell Medical Center. “We are very fortunate and grateful here at Advocate Condell to have VWGoA and VW Credit as committed partners in our mission.”

Support of the PACT Program aligns with VWGoA’s ongoing corporate social responsibility initiative, which focuses on safety and protection of customers and the environment, and the well-being of its employees and the communities in which it operates, said Andrew Stuart, Chief Executive Officer and President of VW Credit, Inc.

“Giving back to the community is important to VCI, because we want to positively impact the areas in which we operate,” Stuart said. “Our employees live in the community, and they take pride in knowing that donations from their company have made such a difference in the lives of so many local people.”
