Cooking with Patch: Recipe for Sticky Rice and Mango

The owner of Thai Noodles Cafe shares her recipe for Thai sticky rice and mango.

In January's installment of Cooking with Patch, Tusnee "Lee" Chaisiri, owner of shares the health benefits of Thai food. Here is her recipe for Thai sticky rice and mango.

Ingredients:

-          250 ml Coconut Cream

-          3 cups Glutinous Rice (uncooked)

-          ½ cup Sugar

-          2 teaspoons Salt

-          4 ripe Mangos (peeled, and cut into 1 inch-thick slices)

Preparation:

  1. Wash and soak the glutinous rice for 4 hours.
  2. Drain and steam for 45 minutes.
  3. Dissolve sugar and salt thoroughly in coconut cream.
  4. Cover the steamed glutinous rice with the coconut creamand. Wait for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve the steamed glutinous rice with ripe mango slices.
