Why Go?: Come out and cheer for the wildcats as the players honor their dads.

Where / When: ; 7 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 30, October 1 and 2.

Why Go?: Jr. Encore presents the musical saga of Joseph and his brothers. Experience the Old Testament through many different musical styles in this entertaining performance.

Pricing: $10 per person.

 

3.

Where / When: Central Lake Y, 700 Lakeview Pkwy, Vernon Hills; 8 a.m., Saturday, October 1.

Why Go?: Families, children and active older adults are welcome to run or walk this 3.1 mile course along a paved path near the Y. Perfect for anyone who is running in a 5K for the first time. Every participant will receive a t-shirt.

Pricing: $10 for anyone age 16 and older; $5 for anyone 15 and younger.

Where / When: ; 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday,October 1.

Why Go?: Fall fun, entertainment, Touch-a-Truck, family activities at downtown businesses. Donate a non-perishable food item and receive a pumpkin.

Pricing: Free admission.

Where / When: Viper Alley, 275 Parkway Dr., Lincolnshire; 8 p.m.; Friday, September 30.

Why Go?: Live rock performance with the style and sound similar to the Allman Brothers Band and the Dave Matthews Band. Sure to be a rockin' good time.

Pricing: $30 - $50 per ticket.
