AmazingCosmetics, located in Libertyville and founded by two friends, is making a name for itself in stores across the country and has become popular with celebrities like Demi Moore.

Carrie Underwood and Drew Barrymore are reported fans. They've appeared in Allure magazine. Their cosmetics line is sold nationwide in stores including Sephora and Ulta.

Lisa Thurman and Sue Katz, founders of the Libertyville-based company AmazingCosmetics, are doing an amazing job in making a name for themselves in the highly competitive world of beauty products.

With its reputation and popularity increasing on a national scale, AmazingCosmetics' annual sales are poised to grow 54 percent this year, reported the Chicago Tribune.

“We’re doers, we’re not talkers,” Thurman told the Tribune.

AmazingCosmetics was started in 2000 out of Thurman and Katz's passion for finding the perfect concealer. Their AmazingConcealer was their first product.

"Ladies, what you have heard about their concealer is true, the stuff is like a miracle in a tube!" posted a customer on Patch.

AmazingConcealer went on to be sold in the Bliss catalogue and at Nordstrom's, according to the Tribune. Soon after, celebrities and celebrity makeup artists were clamoring for it.

In 2011, AmazingCosmetics opened "The Studio," in Libertyville, where customers can buy products, get a makeover and even have a "Girl's Night" party.
