Libertyville Family Attorney is Lake County Bar Association's Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient
Gary Schlesinger, a Libertyville resident and attorney, received the Lake County Bar Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Libertyville family law attorney Gary Schlesinger of the firm Schlesinger & Strauss, LLC, was recently received the Lake County Bar Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He was honored at the an awards dinner on Feb. 22 at the Marriott Lincolnshire Resort.
Schlesinger, an attorney for 42 years, graduated from Northwestern University School of Law. He has been named an Illinois SuperLawyer every year since 2006.
Schlesinger recently told the Libertyville Review that he fell into family law after an experience in 1969 in which he helped a 16-year-old girl whose 18-yer-old husband injured her and her baby with an electrical cord.

"This was maybe 20 years before the Domestic Violence Act. We got an injunction to keep him away from her and then we got them divorced. That’s how I fell into family law," Schlesinger told the Libertyville Review.
Schlesinger opened his Libertyville firm in 1986, devoting the practice exclusively to family law, according to his Website.
